BESS Solar Power Systems (40–125kVA)

209kWh BESS Cabinet: 100kW Value Variant

This 209kWh BESS cabinet is the value variant of our 100kVA platform, trading 6kWh of storage for a sharper price. The 209kWh BESS uses the same 100kW hybrid inverter and LFP cabinet platform as our flagship unit.

Product FAQ

How much does a 209kWh BESS cost?
Storage typically adds 35–50% of total system cost. Derived from our verified 100kW + 215kWh container reference of CIF $88,000–115,000, installed LFP storage works out around $145–265 per kWh. This configuration quotes CIF $88,000–115,000 to ports such as Lagos or Manila.
How long does a 209kWh BESS take to pay back?
Under 18 months when it displaces diesel generation, 3–5 years against peak grid tariffs. The LFP bank is rated 6,000+ cycles at 80% depth of discharge — roughly 16 years at one cycle per day.
Which certifications and import approvals apply?
CE / RoHS, IEC 62619 for the cells and UN38.3 for transport, built under ISO 9001 factory QA. Destination paperwork — SONCAP, BPS, SASO or DEWA — is prepared per shipment.
Can this system run a site with no utility grid?
Yes. The hybrid inverter forms its own stable 3-phase grid from the LFP battery bank, and solar input is prioritized automatically. A diesel genset can be wired into the inverter's AC input as backup, so the site keeps running through multi-day bad weather.
Can several units be paralleled for a larger plant?
Yes. Both the inverters and the battery cabinets support parallel connection — the 40–125kVA line is the building block we scale up to multi-MW plants (see our 6MW Nigeria factory project). Tell us your target capacity and we will propose a parallel configuration.
209kWh or 215kWh — which 100kW package should I choose?
Performance is nearly identical; the 209kWh variant is the lower-cost option. If your overnight loads are predictable and modest, take the 209kWh and keep the budget for panels or a second inverter. If you expect load growth, the extra 6kWh plus our parallel-ready cabinets make the 215kWh the safer long-term pick.

209kWh BESS Price & Payback

What moves the 209kWh BESS price? Module pricing first: tier-1 modules currently run $0.28–0.48 per watt FOB. Inverter class, mounting type and cable runs come next, and where batteries are included, storage typically adds 35–50% of the total system cost. Sea freight and clearing usually add 20–35% over FOB to reach West African or Southeast Asian ports.

Cost factorTypical figure (2026)
Solar modules$0.28–0.48 per watt FOB, tier-1 supply
Sea freight & landed costTypically +20–35% over FOB to West Africa / Southeast Asia ports
Storage share35–50% of total system cost where batteries are included
Payback3–5 years against grid power; under 18 months when replacing diesel

For a verified reference point: a complete 100kW + 215kWh BESS container quotes CIF $88,000–115,000 to ports such as Lagos or Manila. Every Mars Solar quote is factory-direct: FOB from our Foshan plant or CIF to your port, with the full certification dossier included.

For country-level landed-cost math, read the BESS import and payback guide for Nigeria, and see the 100kW + 215kWh wastewater plant project in Sudan for how the same hardware performs in the field. The IEA solar PV market track is a good neutral reference for global module price direction.
